 If you have a professional interest in ‘value’, ‘value for money’ and ‘Value Management’ and you are seeking greater understanding of the personal and business benefits Value Management can provide – or you are looking to enhance your skills in delivering these benefits – then the Institute of Value Management Australia invites you to apply for membership.

IVMA welcomes any individuals and organisations as members.

 How to become an individual member of IVMA
There are three options for individual membership of the Institute of Value Management:
• Associate Member
• Member
• Accredited Member
Read the requirements for each membership level as outlined below and identify the most appropriate level for you. The IVMA member benefits matrix summarises all benefits of IVMA membership by grade.

Then all you have to do is download the membership application pack. Membership applications are processed promptly by the IVMA membership team and overseen by the Hon Secretary. Membership privileges commence once receipt of Annual Fees has been confirmed and membership number issued by the IVMA membership team.

 

Associate Member

Associate Members are individuals who:

    • do not wish to participate in the governance of IVMA,
      and
    • have an interest in the achievement of better Value for Money and/or the Value Management process or application;
      or
    • are students at an educational institution enrolled in a course that the Board determines is relevant for Value Management;
      or
    • are nominated by a Corporate Member in accordance with rule 11.a)5)

The IVMA board can accept or decline any membership application under its constitution.

Annual Fee: $35AUD + GST

 

Member
A Member of IVMA is an individual who has successfully completed a course of study approved by the Institute or to have independently developed knowledge and skills equivalent to the stated learning outcomes of a course of study approved and assessed by the Institute.

Benefits of being a Member*:
Full participation in the Institute including voting rights and eligibility for committee membership and office bearer positions.
Website login and ‘Member Archive’ access for papers, research, magazine back-catalogue

FREE monthly e-Newsletter: VM e-Bulletin
FREE quarterly Practice Notes Member discounts on events, training and special offers
*This membership level carries the post-nominal MIVMA.
Annual Fee: $250AUD + GST

 

Accredited Member
An Accredited Member is required to have satisfied all requirements for being a Member of the Institute and to have met all further requirements for registration as an Accredited Value Management Study Facilitator, Accredited Value Analyst or Accredited Value Management Trainer.

An Accredited Value Management Study Facilitator is required to demonstrate they have;
• successfully completed a course of study approved by the Institute specifically relating to group-facilitation, OR
• to have independently developed knowledge and skills equivalent to the stated learning outcomes of a course of study approved by the Institute, AND
• Personally facilitated at least five Value Management studies in accordance with AS4183-2007 over the preceding two years

An Accredited Value Analyst is required to demonstrate they have:
• Personally applied the principles and practices of Value Management in accordance with AS 4183-2007 as part of their day-to-day work over the preceding two years

An Accredited Value Management Trainer is required to demonstrate they have:
• an extensive working knowledge and experience in the application of AS4183:2007: AND
• successfully completed a course which the Institute accepts would equip them to teach and train groups of adult students; OR
• independently developed knowledge and skills at least equivalent to a ‘Train the Trainer’ program delivered by a Registered Training Organisation.

* Members and Fellows can be ‘Accredited’ and an Accredited Member is authorised by the Institute to use the appropriate descriptor in their signature. Example: Lisa Smith FIVMA Accredited VMS Facilitator
Annual Fee: $350AUD + GST

 

Fellow
The ‘Fellow’ and ‘Honorary Life Fellow’ levels of membership are awarded by the Institute’s Board to deserving members who satisfy the established criteria for fellowship or honorary fellowship. This membership level warrants the post-nominal FIVMA.

Fellows can also be registered if they quality as such. Fellows receive all the benefits of accredited members or ordinary members as applicable plus membership of the college of fellows
Accredited Fellow Member Annual Fee: $350AUD + GST

 

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP (BENEFITS & FEES UNDER REVIEW 2016)

Organisations can be members too
IVMA welcomes organisations to avail themselves of the many benefits provided for Corporate Members and Sponsors.

Corporate Membership provides for up to 12 Associate members who have all the benefits of an Associate Member Annual Fee: $2,500 + GST

Corporate Sponsors can have up to 40 Associate members with the same benefits in addition to extensive branding opportunities Annual Fee $10,000 + GST

Corporate Members and Sponsors also have access to advertising opportunities on the IVMA website and priority options for tailored promotion packages for IVMA events and activities. Please contact IVMA to discuss the options available.

 

Code of Conduct

The Institute has established a Code of Conduct that covers:
• the standard of conduct that applies to all members
• communications and relations between members, and
• delivery of professional Value Management advice and services by Specialist Members.

All IVMA members must sign and abide by the Code of Conduct. Disciplinary measures exist for proven breaches of the Code under the IVMA Constitution.
